Painting on location on the Tapuaeroa River, Ruatoria NZ. The mountain in the distance is Taitai. Finished with a touch-up in my studio. The brushes I used; - Synthetic Flats, no.2 through to no.8 - Hog Bristle Flats, no.2 through to no.8 - Badger Hair blender - Hog Bristle Fan no.2 - Short Hog Bristle Filberts, no.6 & no.8 Paints; Titanium White Cadmium Yellow Pale Cadmium Orange Red Madder Pthalo Blue Ultramarine Blue Burnt Umber.
This is two paintings from a weekend on the East Coast of NZ. The first one just outside Ruatoria painting the mountains, the second is from the stream just before Te Puia coming from Ruatoria - just by the golf course.

Recorded via Facebook live on the 26th March 2020, so it's raw footage. Painting a seascape from Mount Maunganui beach NZ, I painted this in one session, just under 60 mins. Hopefully it sheds some light in my method and technique, this the same way I approach a Plein Air painting.
