Limited Edition Print Papamoa Beach

The road to creating a limited edition print I am personally happy with has been long and sometimes frustrating. I have been experimenting with printing methods and finishes, they are all very good but I wanted something that goes above and beyond – the conclusion is; a Giclee’ Print hand embellished with Oil Paint. Adding paint really makes the print ‘pop’, not like the real thing but pretty damned cool.
Briefly the process; the original Painting is photographed and the high resolution image is printed onto cotton canvas with UV resistant archival inks. Then stretched onto a 32mm frame (the image wraps around the edges). Once I receive the print I add Oil Paint to highlights and where I think.
The Print series is limited to only selected paintings and only 10 prints of each.
This is the first in this series – ‘September Seas – Papamoa Beach’ 1200 x 750mm
The painting is from the beach right near my house here in Papamoa, and the print is similar to the actual painting size. At the time of writing this there are 4 prints still available.
